Responsibilities
Team leadership & mentoring: Leading, coaching and managing a team of Junior Sales Representatives. Running regular 1-on-1 meetings, overseeing their pipeline and supporting them in closing complex deals.
Strategic acquisition: Personally managing and closing key business opportunities within the FMCG sector (Modern Trade).
Key account management: Owning relationships with leading retail chains and negotiating annual contracts and commercial terms.
Sales strategy execution: Translating the commercial strategy into concrete targets for the junior team to drive regional growth.
Data-driven oversight: Using internal software to monitor individual and team performance, ensuring margin and revenue targets are met.
Process optimisation: Identifying bottlenecks in the B2B sales process and implementing improvements to increase team efficiency.
Market intelligence: Acting as the subject-matter expert for the industry to shape the team's approach and positioning.
Requirements
Professional experience: 5+ years in B2B sales / key account management within the FMCG sector, including at least 1–2 years of experience leading or mentoring others.
Retail expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Modern Trade environment (Tesco, Lidl, Auchan, etc.) and a proven track record with product listing procedures for DACH market
Industry advantage: Experience in the Nutrition industry.
Languages: English at B2/C1 level + German native
Leadership qualities: Ability to motivate a team, delegate effectively and manage performance with a development-oriented mindset.
Analytical skills: Advanced data analysis skills; ability to manage complex margins and sales forecasts.
Approach: A "lead by example" attitude. You are still a deal-closer, but you measure your success through your team's success.
WE OFFER
Base salary depending on experience — up to EUR 10,000 / month, depending on seniority level.
